PGATOUR.com's Jeff Shain expects a wild Sunday: "Thirteen pursuers – ranging from former champions Luke Donald and Jim Furyk to 19-year-old Jordan Spieth – will begin Sunday’s final round no more than three shots off the pace."
Thomas Aiken earns second European Tour victory: "The South African's five-under effort in the final round took him to 23-under-par overall and earned him the second European Tour victory of his career."
Golf Channel's Ryan Lavner's great You Oughta Know: "Seven of the previous 11 third-round leaders here have gone on to win. The last to do so was Jim Furyk the 2010 champion. The biggest Sunday comeback at this event belongs to John Huston, who stormed from four shots behind to win in 2000. Last year, Luke Donaldovercame a three-shot deficit."
Jason Sobel of the Golf Channel on Justin Leonard: "The man who walked off the Innisbrook Copperhead course after a third-round 67 that left him tied for the Tampa Bay Championship lead – five years removed from his last PGA Tour victory, 14 years removed from his Ryder Cup putt heard 'round the world and 16 years removed from his lone major championship – could be considered a superstar-turned-journeyman, though superstar is probably too brazen a superlative and journeyman too fallacious an insult."
Via PGA TOUR Report, Jordan Spieth closes in on TOUR card: "Just another example of why Spieth likely won’t need long to stick on the PGA TOUR. A card may be as close as Sunday – a top-13 finish should be enough to earn the $101,295 he needs for special temporary membership."
Randall Mell explains Stacy Lewis' two shot penalty: "Lewis was penalized two shots for violation of Rule 13-4 after the round and before signing her scorecard. She was penalized when rules officials determined in a video review that Travis Wilson, Lewis’ caddie, tested the surface of a hazard with his right foot when he walked into a bunker off the fairway on the 16th hole."
More on Lewis' violation from GolfWeek's Beth Ann Baldry: "'More than anything I just feel bad for him because he feels awful,” Lewis said. “But he's the best caddie out here, so we'll be fine. We still have a chance to win tomorrow.'”
Tom Smith of the Kansas City Star: "Snedeker, a 32-year-old from Nashville, Tenn., is easily spotted by fans who follow the PGA Tour because of the hair spilling from beneath his visor. And he is becoming known because of his good play."
Disappointing news for golfers in Columbus, one less place to play: "But for the first time in more than 50 years, the city’s Walnut Hill Golf Course will not play host to golfers."
